Black Bag 2025
A solid, mid budget, thinking spy thriller. I enjoyed this, much less action than you’d expect but the mind games make up for it. Nothing extraordinary here but it does everything it wants to very well. Certainly kept me interested for its short run time. Definitely worth a watch if you like spy movies. Had some difficulty with the accents but I think I’m just dumb

Trainspotting 1996
After watching this, I see how influential it really is. Feels like this really set the tone for how drug scenes would be handled in movies for the next 20+ years. So wild to watch a young Ewan tear it up. Really interesting watching this so close to Human Traffic as I feel like they’re two sides of the same coin (Human Traffic definitely pulled a lot of influence from this if not straight up parody in a way). Definitely a few rough scenes in here, don’t do heroin kids

Elvis 2022
The combo of Baz + Elvis was meant to be. Just a wild ride of a biopic that doesn’t feel it’s length. Not sure what can be said about Austin Butler that hasn’t been said but it’s all true. Tom Hanks made me laugh every time he spoke.
Also some of these songs rule and have been stuck in my head since I watched it. Suspicious Minds and Unchained Melody in particular
