Two of the best performances I’ve seen in a while with de Niro and Pesci. Both played their roles brilliantly, with such anger, humor, heart and more. I really enjoyed the directing of this, some of the shots would still be amazing by today’s standards. There was some issues with audio mixing and some poor sound effects, but I’d put that up to the film being 45 years old. I thought the story was very interesting, seeing Jake’s rise and fall as he couldn’t keep his anger issues in check. Great writing, great acting, brilliant story.
