War on Everyone 2016
Man, I pretty much love Michael Peña in anything he's in, especially in quirky and dark comedies, which this one attempts to be. Needless to say, I wanted to really like this one, but what I got was a film trying waay too hard to be different, and what's more, one that continually mistakes random for funny. Just because a scene or character choice is random and off-the-wall, it doesn't automatically give the story humor. In fact, quite the opposite.…

This one is good. Very stylish. Narratively different than the norm.
with solid performances, but there is just something that's incomplete about it. Maybe it's that I couldn't buy baby-faced Tye Sheridan as a mid-twenties law student or the lack of development in Bel Powley's character, but whatever it was, it brought this film down a couple of half stars. Nevertheless, it's visually entertaining with a few twists thrown in to keep you from grabing your phone to check your texts.Translated from by
