Going into this film, people told me that it was about stripping. This movie is so much more than that: it made me feel so many things. In the beginning everything felt too good to be true, and I was anxious waiting for the other shoe to drop. I experienced envy, nostalgia, sadness, rage, and sympathy while watching Anora. Mikey Madison’s Oscar was well deserved, the film’s ending left me feeling very empty. Every actor was incredible; this movie is worth all of the reverence it has.
