Quiet, gut wrenching, really sad. Just made me realise that we’ve always been depressed, even in the Middle Ages. Also the music is fantastic. I’m sleepy so this is a bad review but yes, very creepy hard to watch folkhorror, doesn’t need anything supernatural, the horror is the horror of living.

Eraserhead 1977
I saw this in the cinema for the first time as part of a puppet festival. What an experience; the sound absolutely blew me away and I thought my head might explode. Was great laughing with an audience at the absurdly funny moments. Dread and horror hit me like a freight train and I couldn’t move/pace, so had to sit there and take it. Truly horrible, 10/10 Eraserhead viewing.
