this was absolutely fantastic. it should be shown in schools to young boys, the increasing prevalence in blatant misogyny since andrew tate and his attitude/behaviour towards women got popularised is genuinely worrying. the scene at the very end was a fantastic way to finish it. the whole ‘i didn’t touch her so that makes me better’ bit really got to me as well, as this is unfortunately the mindset of so many young boys/men. i also really enjoyed the focus on the perpetrators family rather than the victims family, it really does illustrate how they suffer too when a crime like this is committed.

not as totally awful as anticipated but not great either. i usually like rachel zegler but i don’t feel as though she was the right choice for this role, and she is pushing this new narrative, that i hate, that falling in love immediately makes a woman weak, or that femininity cannot be powerful. despite who she is as a person gal gadot was a really good evil queen but the dwarfs also gave me the creeps a little except grumpy.
