Last film of Bong Joon Ho to complete my watch of his filmography before Mickey 17!  He seriously does not have a bad film.  Despite being his first film, it still has a similar feel to the rest of them.  There’s great humor and mystery to add on to the core of central moral issue : this time being how life isn’t fair - the good don’t always get rewarded and the bad don’t always get punished.   Seeing the dogs get abused in this was hard to watch, so I will probably not rewatch, but still glad I saw this.

This movie is just the best—my second favorite rise and fall movie behind Goodfellas and my second favorite Scorsese movie behind Goodfellas. It is pure fun and laughter and the soundtrack is absurdly good. On this rewatch I had even more appreciation for how insane Leo's acting is here. Not only does he do such an amazing job at portraying what it is like to be high out of your mind, but he shows off his range in the beginning…
