This film left me with mixed feelings. I loved the performances of Timothee Chalamet and Monica Barbaro as the iconic duo of Bob Dylan and Joan Baez, with the vocals, the characterisation and the costumes being on point. However there were parts of the film I found slightly dull and cliche such as not one, but two scenes of Ella Fanning playing the role of the melancholy rockstar girlfriend tearing up in the wings, as she looks on and realises…

Anora 2024
Anora was a brilliantly crafted film with Mikey Madison's career defining performance being a huge part of its greatness. I loved how vulnerable yet strong her character was, and how she effortlessly switched between the rough, sexual exterior and the interior of who Anie really was. The middle of the film was hilarious and caught me off guard with how crafted and effortless the comedic switches were, mixed in with gut wrenching performances and harsh moments of reality. A brilliant film with Madison's oscar being well deserved
