12 Years a Slave 2013
I liked this film but it was really hard to watch and I def cried a lot at the end. This film is much more complex and nuanced than the 1984 version. I think this film accurately captures the words of Northups book.

I really like this movie I feel like it was a good movie for parents to see how teenagers kind of grow into their emotions and it was just really cute. The new emotions were so real like anxiety, boredom, shame, that was so cute.

Bob Marley: One Love 2024
We watched this last night and I really enjoyed it more than I thought I would. My bf who is a big Marley fan said that some of the things didn’t happen exactly as shown but I still think it was a relatively accurate depiction of that part of his life and the music was great.
