Ofc the best movie I've seen for now in 2025, but honestly bc It's the only truly solid movie I've seen (I'd have loved to say Havoc was better, but I can't lie to myself).
And Only bc I can feel that I'm gonna see something better this second half of the year, for sure, but I can imagine this one on the top 5.
Had Its campy stuff and lots of conveniences solely to communicate its symbolism and topics…

Once Upon a Time...

Two people who were in pain, and Alone, fell in love.

One couldn't be happy because of a strict promise he himself made up to make his city a better place. The other one wasn't allowed to be happy by the decisions of who should have protected her in the first place.

They had the chance to marry, the chance to start a new life from scratch, together. But Trauma and Pain broke that Bond for…

Radu, what the fuck?

It starts so great, with such a punchy and daring idea, and then ends up seeming like a student film. Technically, thematically and filmmaking-wise, and with such a terrible, obvious, reiterative ending.
Ik he's doing Dracula Park rn, Ik this was shot on an iPhone (u can notice It), but I know It can be better. I know Jude can do better. I have partners and Friends at my faculty Who made better stuff with a fucking iPhone. This was just going straight ahead to win awards at the Berlinale y a tomar por culo.

A Minecraft Movie was better.

If felt like a good and a mid Pixar movie simultaneously, idk. Film was gud overall, but didn't really blow my mind, maybe people sold It to me too high for its own good. Still a kool watch.

*Pugh and Harbour were just perfect, Btw*

Such an obnoxious shithole.... with such a funny, badass ending that cough me out of guard. It even threw a Passion of Christ tribute shot for some five seconds by the face.
But aside of that, the absolute fuckin' monumental and disastrous downhill Mel had as a director with only one movie made me loose practically all faith for his upcoming projects. His previous movie was HACKSAW RIDGE, take that in count.

And all this bc Will Poulter said "this house looks neat bruh ong... Let's steal it haha".

Film's interesting and tense enough to keep our attention, and has kool, Creative details, but doesn't know if It wants to be critical against U.S. marines or just be the typical 2000's War movie.

Honestly I felt really disappointed by this. I'm surprised by myself that I still prefer Man of Steal or even 300 (and they both have the same rating, this guy can't go higher than a 6/10 to me, why?!?!)
The script Gunn wrote was actually so good, even if still not the best from him, since It was one of his very first attempts, but It got surpirsingly REALLY affected by Snyder's way of directing. And I say surpirsingly because…

One of the best shows of all time, even with how rushed Season 2 felt. And ofc It's the best video game adaptation to this date, great achievement, bc the vidoegame SUCKS, so something like this is my standard now lol

Why does It always begin so fucking well (counting THAT prologue AND the first act together) to end up flopping so hard that I just can't enjoy It, even with zombies as mercyless and brutal as these?!? Even more brutal than 28 Days Later. C'mon bruh.
Genuinely really kool ideas, like the U.S. taking their chance to basically colonize a fuckin' country one more time (so painfully current rn, and I don't think It was totally their intention), or how the "inmune" people work here. But yeah It goes so cliched and stupid and boring very quickly. Una pena.
