Extremely solid revival of a franchise I thought was long gone.
They clearly had a big budget with this one, and I’m glad they spent it on making a visually and conceptually interesting film, rather than going extravagant with overly complex traps and CGI.
My biggest gripe is they could (should) have told this story without Amanda; her inclusion felt forced and she was too tame, which felt out of character.
Overall a fun watch; plenty of satisfying scenes for fans of gore with some genuinely touching/thought-provoking moments throughout.
