Ending is so off the wall but I think it works for its message. Such a cynical and uncomfortable film. Really well done

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Really great - has a sense of finality to it that was missing to Jesse's story in the show (even though that was also a perfect ending somehow). Did think the structure was a bit random - wished they had included more stuff from the show (too many scenes with Todd).
The scenes with Walt and Jane were really moving. Cinematography was fantastic.
who on earth thought it was a good idea to undercut the actual effective real world news footage with stupid corny bullshit
This and Sharp Objects are the absolute pinnacle in direction and editing; built around tiny moments and flashes that build and build and build until its impossible to look away from the screen. No one else did it like this. Rest in Peace Jean-Marc Vallée.
This is actually good wtf are people smoking
The protest scenes omg yessssssssss fuck yeah
This was good. Extra half a star for Chinese Cranberries cover
Hard to put into words why this is so good. There's this feeling of warmth and joy to a story that should be totally bleak and upsetting. Makes the whole thing seem super sweet and genuine, and human.
