  hilarious how this movie thinks it's some sort of Love Letter to Ireland, what with its deep reverence for Irish Dancing, Irish Beer, Irish Countryside, and Irish Authors and Poets... but then it makes the irish people absolute dickheads so the american woman can fall in love with an ENGLISH man instead lmao???????? irish people should be paid reparations for this. 💀

  whenever anyone tells me sequels are never as good as the original, i point them in the direction of this fucking masterpiece.

  shrek: pretty good.

  shrek 2: funniest movie i have ever seen. literally one of the greatest comedies of all time. incredible pacing and dialogue. genuinely funny references. modern fantasy world so surreal it actually works. amazing score. directors get sad when they realise they will never make a more perfect action sequence than the castle siege set to holding out for a hero. five-star cinematic experience.
