I watched this yesterday and I can’t stop thinking about this movie. The Brutalist hit me wayyyy harder than I expected. Coming from an immigrant family this felt deeply personal in some ways. I couldn’t help see my family’s history- layered with sacrifices, guilt, trauma, and also the small victories that come with being an immigrant.
