Rear Window 1954
My first Hitchcock movie and what fun it was to watch. Although the story is pretty straightforward it is amazing what tension the movie is able to generate. This is especially due to the great use of the camera.

Fallen Leaves 2023
I’m in love with the color palette and the nostalgic & melancholic atmosphere of the movie. I liked the quiet pacing and music choices a lot however I could not really build a relationship with the main protagonists over the course of the movie. I guess it has to do with the deliberate choice of almost no emotions. In conclusion I enjoyed this movie a lot and would like to definitely rewatch it :)

The Boy and the Heron 2023
The movie felt like straight out of my weird dreams and I loved it! The deeper into the story the more disturbing the movie gets, but in a positive way. There is constantly this feeling that things do not make any sense only to be somehow tied into a cohesive plot. Overall another fantastic Ghibli film!
