  I found this to be WAY too pretentious and “deep” for me. Something you would find in a C-tier city’s fringe festival. Beautifully shot but boy is this a try hard movie.

  This movie reminded me of the joke in college that we all played “misery poker” against each other: oh you’ve got a 15 page paper due?  Well I’ve got a 20 page paper AND an exam this week. I think at its heart the message of this movie was about judging your own pain against other people’s pain. Feeling yours isn’t worthy or that other people have it easier.   But ultimately?  Pain is pain. You can’t hold it, weigh it, compare it.  Any amount of it hurts. And we all have it.
