  I was not a fan.

  For a very complex, painful, salient story I was left emotionally vacant. A friend at the after party told me that this was intentional, and that the film was just very smart and not for an ADD brain. My position is that a film that doesn’t draw the viewer into the drama, and emotionally impact them, doesn’t do the job of the medium.

  Beautiful little doc about one of the most enigmatic places in the world: Key West, Florida. I’ve always puzzled over how the grime, the natural beauty, and the sun-soaked melee of tourism and booze conspire to create artistic and literary magic on this tiny islet. This film does a beautiful job of showing us just that.

  Highly recommend if you get the chance. I saw it on a Delta flight, so BOLO for it on your seat back programming.
