The Substance (2024) visually captivated me at parts, and other parts had me crawling in my seat in the cinema. This is a bold piece that isn’t always easy to swallow. A big statement about the industry, body dysmorphia, and patriarchal demands.

Gorgeous film.
Even better watching it a second time. The film feels like a Tarantino passion project. It’s got everything in it. I can’t get over all the driving shots. Just cinematic perfection.
