That was brutal. I did not think we’d finish it tonight. We had to pause and take a lot of breaks. The accuracy was stunning, especially having been in middle school not long before this was made. I’m glad it exists and even happier I never have to watch it again. The car scene is worthy of awards.
First of the fishbowl series
I think this could have been a good movie. I don’t know why on earth you would have a musical written and structured this way or have it be a musical at all if it wasn’t going add anything to the whole. The best choreography was when they were loading the guns. There could have been beautiful, deep, interesting storytelling here. There is so much potential, this story could have been worth 13 Oscar nominations. But I just am left with so many questions for everyone involved, including the people in charge of awards. A joy the whole time. Timothee disappears into bob dylan. A nice reminder of where we have been. I have gained merely an impression of who bob dylan was/is from this movie but I think I’m okay with it. Sometimes I don’t need to see how the puzzle pieces of your life formed you, but rather to know you as well as anyone passing by
