Barbarian is one of those movies that you don't expect, in some good and bad ways.
The beginning is definitely interesting but pretty standard in the horror genre. Two strangers meet one another due to fate, one a LOT more creepy and one that seems susceptible to, well, being killed. However, this movie cleverly twists your expectation into becoming a whole lot more.

This is an absolutely awesome movie that is well paced and practically drags you into the next sequence/scene almost without notice.
The introduction of Lou's character is perfect as we can immediately sense that something is off about him. Throughout the story we become more and more engrossed in this manipulative sociopath and his immoral ventures to get what he wants.
I will say that Nightcrawler is definitely not for those who shy away from gore. The story also feels…
