Dulu waktu kecil saya pikir ini hanya perihal waktu untuk saya mengerti tentang kehidupan. Nyatanya, sampai sekarang saya masih saja buta. Lalu bagaimana jika nanti saya tua? Saya rasa saya tidak butuh kesempatan kedua karena semuanya akan tetap sama. Seperti yang dituturkan Edward Yang dalam filmnya yang menelisik kehidupan tiga orang satu keluarga dengan rantang usia berbeda. Mereka semua pada akhirnya sama-sama masih tak mengerti kehidupan.

In the Absence of the Sun 2014
Somehow, Selamat Pagi, Malam kinda reminds me of Magnolia (1999) but with slower pace. Theres multiple characters that has their own plots while theyre still connected to one story through the city of Jakarta and loneliness of the characters which theyre trying to deal either with their past or future. Even though this movie was made in 2014, its still relatable till now on: the satire, silly lifestyle of Jakarta, or even each characters problem still could be found on nowdays society. With all being said, Selamat Pagi, Malam is a pretty good movie to watch especially when u feel lonely.
