  idk if I'm missing something but this is the least fun I've had in a theater in an extremely long time. A very fun premise (Emotionally restricted spy husband being desperately neurotically horny for his evil-ish spy wife (who also seems to appreciate having him around) leading them both into labyrinthine conspiracy) but it never quite worked for me.   In addition to being beautiful, fun, gripping, etc. This was also much less cynical than I expected!
  It does feel like there should be another 15 minutes of plot before the ending of the film, but largely buckets of fun, so cool to see how many oscars nominees this year were made for under $50M.

  2/3s of this movie is that meme where a guy is shouting excitedly in the ear of a confused woman. Other 1/3 is cronenberg's most gutwrenching depiction of the miserable and degrading business of survival. Oddly, this picture feels more Ballardian than Crash.

  Hooptober day 3 - Filmed in Germany

  Delightful interpretation of the Murnau picture with a hypnotic, introspective vibe, and some incredible technical effects. Fascinated by Herzog purchasing 11,000 rats for a scene in this film, dying each one gray, and transporting them across Europe, fighting with customs inspectors all the way.
