Pretty crazy movie, felt a little like Final Destination but with more intentionally funny lines/scenes. Went in expecting it to lean more towards horror so the comedy was surprising. Some of the jokes were corny and dumb, but it felt self aware like it didn’t take itself too seriously so they still landed for me. “The monkey that likes killing our family is back” is so absurd and stupid it was hilarious, wish they kept that in the final cut.…

Nosferatu 2024
Creepy, eerie, disgusting, and captivating are words that come to mind when thinking about Nosferatu. Robert Eggers didn’t hold anything back in his depiction of the classic tale. Interstellar 2014
Finally getting to see Interstellar in IMAX felt like watching it again for the first time. The visual effects on the big screen had me absolutely entranced. Hearing, and feeling, Hans Zimmer’s score legitimately gave me chills multiple times throughout. Every actor delivers with their performance but the film is still carried by Matthew McConaughey’s layered portrayal of Cooper. The extra-dimensional scene behind Murph’s bookcase was expectedly emotional; Zimmer’s score combined with Cooper’s desperation left me in tears. Truly the best theater experience I have had and I will be amazed if anything can top it anytime soon, if ever.

Twisters 2024
A true summer IMAX film Twisters sucks you right into its action-packed vortex while all you can do is strap in and enjoy the ride. Glen Powell continues to establish himself as a bonafide movie star and Daisy Edgar-Jones’ performance gave the film more depth than anticipated. The various side characters, such as Boone, provided some comedic relief but also felt real and convinced the viewer these people were all longtime storm chasers. Twisters feels like an old school blockbuster in all the best ways.
