so this is like meant to be watched where you imagine that it's a real campaign, like people are coming up with this shit on the spot right? and there are palpable nat 1s and 20s at some moments, its just so fun to watch and imagine that it's actually just some gay bitches in their living room.

post reading the book comparison thoughts 🧐. i think the difference in how jack devolves works really well in its respective mediums. like the movie is so tense because from the first scene it’s like OBVIOUS this man is an absolute freak capable of killing his family but everyone is still down with him being isolated here for some reason…. but it’s more interesting to get the slow progression in the novel where you’re getting lots of backstory on jack…
