Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone 2001
Before a few weeks ago I had never read any of the HP books nor seen any of the movies. I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. So, now that I’ve read all the books it’s time to watch the movies.
These were so off my teenage radar when they came out.
This is a very straightforward and faithful adaptation. I feel like the only real changes were things that were cut for time or slightly altered…

This is a nice, easygoing movie. A sweet, wholesome story about leaving home and finding both love and yourself.
It’s not mind-blowing or anything, but if you’re like me and enjoy a good period piece you won’t mind this one. I mean, 1950’s New York. Who doesn’t wanna spend some time there?
