    “It’s snowing here.”

It seems like a simple plot with simple execution, but it left me thinking a lot. I appreciated the “less is more” aspect of the movie, it leaves room for ambiguity. Whatever you think could be the truth as there are no concrete answers (at least that I found).
Most scenes were uncomfortable with the way many moments were still, ambient and lingering to provoke that feeling of isolation/loneliness the main character seems to be going through.…

I felt like I was watching Scream 2022 whenever Jack Quaid was on-screen... he's good but I'm getting tired of the same type of character. It was entertaining enough, but the messaging felt heavy handed. It didn't help that everyone in the theater left before the movie was over...

I wanted to like it more, but the more I watched the more I was disliking it. Not a bad movie, just meh.

Overhyped. I went in with high expectations, expecting it to scare me more than it did, it was mostly spooky and tense with about two good jump scares. The plot was interesting, but not much actually happened and it feels like they only scratched the surface of the story and characters, it had potential to do more with some of the plot elements. It was well made and the acting was good, just not entirely what I was looking forward…

The fact that this was Kubrick's last film, he died shortly after turning in the script and a scientologist starred in this is creepy...but kudos to him for taking on a story like this and taking his time with it. It hits hard right now with all the weird celebrity nonsense that's been coming out over the last few months/years.
