  I was really into it at the beginning, I’d say until the halfway point, but when the twin returns I kinda checked out. I love when it’s a comedy but when the tone goes for something more emotional it doesn’t work at all, it’s not really what we’re here for so it kinda sucks. Sort of falls apart in the 3rd act.   It’s missing some substance, and it doesn’t really do anything new with the heist or crime genre. I will say Denzel is great and the dialogue has a good rythm, but it’s a little long for what is at the end of the day a pretty basic film. Also talk about wasting a cast, apart from Denzel everyone gets almost nothing.

  Rio Bravo is not your typical western, it’s a lot of hanging out, conversations and walking around. Of course this wouldn’t work for a 141 minute movie if the characters didn’t provide a concrete foundation. There not archetypes, they’re well played and all oozing with personality and struggles, but what ties is the real meat of it all. The town also feels real as you walk up and down it for so long.

  Overall, the plot exists, but mostly as a backdrop for a film with a great cast of characters just hanging out in the west. Angie Dickinson the woman every man needs…

  It was okay… I mean the action was great, the action scenes could be a bit overlong but they were very well choreographed; and the score was really good… but it’s just way too long and a lot of scenes feel kind’ve unnecessary. I did enjoy the added world-building, but it maybe felt too big, as in the first one it felt more contained and better overall, but this one is massive! Overall, while it’s miles behind the first one, it was still pretty good.

  I really enjoyed this, it’s essentially on a much higher level than the original. The cinematography was great, I loved the R rating and the score was good. I really liked how it evenly balanced out everyone in the league’s screen time, they get more time to be fleshed out and it actually makes it feel like a team up movie.
