Dune: Part Two 2024
It wasn't what I expected. I read the book, I saw Lynch's movie, I played the video games, I saw the SF Channel mini series, I saw part one, but this was still not what I expected. Very interesting interpretation.

Well directed, well acted, well shot, very satisfying. But… the colors look cheap. It looks like they used the cheapest digital camera they could find. And the depiction of sexism was kind of primitive compared to all the other elements of the movie. Is thinly veiled sandwich jokes really the best way to do it?

Count Dracula 1970
It was nice to see Christopher Lee actually act in the role of Dracula, not just hiss like a beast. It's sort of faithful to the book, similarly to the 1990s movie and it's just as hammy, too, but with a way lower budget that makes even the effects hilarious. One of the rare film interpretations that keeps Quincey Morris (the cowboy!) intact. (There's also one Hungarian sign in the movie, I appreciated that.)
