Truly a boomer fever dream. From the intro title sequence to the love interest — everything about this movie, except for the HQ production, stunts and flight choreography, screams ‘80s nostalgia in the most white heteronormative “MERICUH” way — it feels super out of place, my personal political beliefs aside.
The flight scenes are incredible, and as someone who has spent a lot of time in flight sims, it was fun to hear combat language and accurate physics — and also, if you’ll pardon the pun, just “plane” cool visuals lol 😝
