I am very protective of Harley Quinn and her backstory/motivation needed WAY more development. Really disappointed that this missed the mark.
Also, most of the musical sequences felt unmotivated and I kind of got the vibe that the writer and/or director have never really watched many musicals tbh. Not sure if this is true but it kind of felt like it.

Honestly the one of worst films I've ever seen, which is sad because I thought I liked von Trier's work.
Maybe I'm just not intelligent enough to understand the message but all I got from this was either a load of graphic, degrading violence or an utter snoozefest. It felt like a demonstration of self-aggrandizement rather than honest storytelling.
I think what is the most disturbing thing about this movie, in particular the scenes of graphic sex and female genital…
Beautifully acted. Meticulous. Convincing. A euphoric cinematic experience. Gary Oldman was just as divine as the luxurious production design (hey, that rhymed!). Immortal Beloved is an ode to joy indeed.
