This question could mean anything. In "Civil War" your answer means life or death. I don't know if the soldier asking this question is Western Forces or U.S. Army. It doesn't matter, because he's standing on a mass grave of Americans and whether or not they fit his definition of the right kind of American obviously didn't save them. There’s some moving stuff said by our anti hero and you think he might really be saying something. Then, in a few words, someone quips back and we see him small and angry and I like that. What’s up with that? How does that work? This movie does a great job moving in between perspectives. It’s like our world, but exaggerated in its bleakness. Or it’s just London.
Movies like this are becoming more important to me the older I get. Good picture of emotional maturity here.
