Acting and camera work is insane, 4 hour long shots is just crazy.
First 3 episodes were insanely good, 4th wasnt for me - as i feel the ending was a bit unsatisfying, like i understand they didnt want to make it a whodunnit but some further explanation/court cases/details wouldve gone a long way and probably made this a 5 star
but yeah ep.3 is an absolute all timer
Really disappointed I couldn’t watch this in Chinese, could only find the English dub, however after a slow start was really fun.
The fat bloke is funny af, and the jaguar man is a cool villain.
The animation style looked great too. Very Dreamworks-esque i thought
As a proud action movie hater, normally I would hate a 30+ min fight scene, however the one here was done so well.
Anyway its a shame cos i dont think theres any potential for a sequel, no money in it i reckon cant see it turning a profit tbh
Good movie but one major issue…
a major part of the plotline follows the Knicks beating the Kings in the NBA finals 🤔
As the great Shaquille O’Neal once said; “You can’t fool me, I am familiar with your game”
Everyone knows the Knicks are a poverty franchise - so them reaching the finals, let alone winning it, is grossly unrealistic and it is offensive to assume the intelligence of the viewer is so low.
Turns out the poverty ‘Bockers were actually blown out by 30 against the Kings that year irl.
But yeah other than that great stuff
excellent rom to com ratio
and a brilliant soundtrack
cant help that i will never see hear wilson as anyone other than lightning mcqueen unfortunately
