I really enjoyed the first half of this film. The cinematography by Lol Crawley was gorgeous and i’m glad I got to see it on 70mm in a beautiful theater. The second half left me underwhelmed. In my opinion it left a pro-zionist impression. Laszlo’s experiences in the U.S. are undeniably horrific, at one point screaming “they don’t want us here”. He himself expresses anti-zionist views when his niece decides to move to Israel. This, however, doesn’t make the film…
