this is what happens when they spend all of the already low budget on costumes and makeup so all that’s left is a shell of a movie with a main character that should stick to modelling (no hate) and plot cuts from the original that gave us a hallmark-esque disney production (and I don’t mean that in a good way) full of giving me NOTHING.
still made me cry like a little bitch so in conclusion don’t watch ass movies…

finally watched this bitch after starting it A YEAR AND A HALF ago with marry and never finishing due to technical difficulties.
here are my thoughts, as far as I can recollect them:
carey mulligan serves, can’t tell if she’s 19 or 35 irl during that movie but that only adds to the character’s persona. skip to last sentence if you want my final thoughts. shoutout simona who might be the only girly pop reading these dissertations🫶

Dakota Johnson is incredibly hot. Only watched for her.
This whole movie was a STRUGGLE.
Watching while high, I have to say *SPOILERS* that the baby’s birth scene in the beginning and the woman being in her web in the water was willllddd.
Otherwise, I was (unpleasantly) surprised to learn this was a *cringy* comedy with a basic danger - get saved - self discovery plot line. BGM topped the irony. One star for mommy Dakota.
