We Live in Time 2024
at core it's a melodramatic movie about an upper class London family, but this family consists of Florence Pugh, Andrew Garfield and a very adorable daughter. So it is a simple but moving movie about life and love; including the very (sometimes poignant) fan service for all Andrew Garfield stans out there (like me) who now fantasize about a loveable golden retriever boyfriend just like (what even was his character's name?) him. though the acting was phenomenal, unfortunately the script does lack some character's depth to really be able to understand the character's motives.

After all, it is a really basic biopic and I hate it so much that the whole SA topic is just swept under the rug by calling it Aretha's "demon". But damn, Jennifer Hudson gave this role her all. She paid a mesmerising tribute to Aretha and carries the film's Soul on her shoulders (while I can't really say the same about the writing of this movie).
