  This movie had an extremely strong start, but burns out and loses its identity pretty quickly. The film stars Hunter Schafer as 17-year-old Gretchen, an American teenager who moves to a new home Germany with her dad and his new family after her mother passes away. The home is close to a mountain resort where Gretchen gets a job and is suspiciously instructed by the owner to work during daylight hours. Obviously, like any great angsty teen, Gretchen defies authority…

  Entirely organic and original. Both Harry and Sally seem like real people but in the most fascinating way. The dialogue is what intrigues me most in this film. It’s so witty, poignant and timeless that I may even go as so far to say that Nora Ephron is a genius.
