    (the “who killed the world?” line does go really hard, too.)

    if you have a good relationship with your father or are prone to existential crises (both of which apply to me) do not watch this. i cried so hard i could barely breathe. my soul felt like it was crushed to smithereens.

    this settled something in me. it’s certainly slow and idealized, and lacks a specific message, but it’s a massive challenge to try and capture the essence of a day for humanity—all of the beauty we’ve built here, while acknowledging of all the suffering that goes alongside it. we’re a stunning, diverse, miraculous sort of species. a wonderful concept with lovely execution. i’m grateful to be alive, and this is a beautiful documentary.
