Of no fault of his own, Paul Mescal lacks the aura to lead like Russell Crowe did in the original. I wonder if casting someone a decade older with more star power around the age range of Henry Cavill (late 30s to early 40s) may have been more suitable. Of course, that would mean recasting Pedro Pascal as well - who seemed too young for Connie Nielsen's character.
It's a decent watch, unfortunately let down by it's final third of…
