    Just finished reading the graphic novel and holy shit this adaptation (so far) goes fucking hard!! I was a huge fan of Batman year one but not so much of the animated film adaptation, but this one is absolutely amazing. 

    I’ll watch part 2 later, for now, I gotta catch up on todays newest episode of Severance YESSIR!!

    Talk about a bittersweet ending, sheesh.

    The way the film plays around with colors and the framing of the shots... it all adds up for a visually pleasing experience.

    Travis crying in the diner after hearing news about his son got me to empathize with this character so much to a point where I spent most of the film shedding a few tears.

    I didn't expect this film to hit me that hard, but…

    The shots of the Mexican landscapes with the mist in the background, or the hills covered by the shadows of the clouds blocking the sun, are really beautiful in a very eerie way.

    The fact that Willem Dafoe, an A-list actor from Hollywood, dares to take roles for low budget/indie films like this, is very admirable.

    While this role isn't something very 'demanding', Willem is still able to make all of his mannerisms and dialogue feel natural. Pretty similar…
