didn’t connect with this movie because it felt too similar to other highly praised relationship films that depict love as inherently fragile and fraught with tension, which risks boxing in our perspective on relationships and subtly shaping the idea that dysfunction is the norm. surely it’s just a movie and the director chose to tell this story, but honestly, just go volunteer or watch a real-life trial in family court
