Even though this never really had a chance... Wicked has ruined any other fantastical, magic type movie.
Jonathan's too tight, flimsy, velvet pants had a waistband to high I'm surprised there wasn't an x-rated bulge. (They wanted him to be Jonathan Bailey so bad.)
Those dwarfs were terrifying.
Gal Gadot looked good...my praise for her stops there.
I wish Jonathan was played by Tom Blyth. Like...my Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes fantasies need to be fueled.

Basically Hamilton except he chose his mistress instead of his wife.
Anyways. This was pretty good. I really liked the complexity of the characters. Obviously wish there was more time spent on ones like Emily but… men.
I like this interpretation of Hearst castle. Makes it almost feel futuristic and just jarringly empty yet so full.
The ending was really good and I liked the analogy to the jigsaw puzzle.
Despite all this it was still kinda boring.
Why did he turn into an egg the last quarter of the movie? Just all of a sudden… BAM no hairline.
