Quite true to the musical from what I remember, with performances that also held up to the originals without being carbon-copies. Gorgeous costume and set design, along with a visibly diverse cast. Brought a tear to my eyes more than once. I might have to see this one again on the big screen.

Heretic 2024
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
The more I think about this movie the less I like it I think. Some of the writing - while obviously purposeful - was still unnecessarily long-winded and came across at times like an r/atheist post. Again, you could argue this as a choice, but it was a…

Heck 2020
can we be honest with ourselves folks it’s 30 minutes of squinting apprehensively at your screen because you can’t make out half of what’s going on. I’ll admit to being anxious watching simply in anticipation of something but if only my own brain did all the work of entertaining me while I watched…

The House That Jack Built 2018
0/5 stars. This is essentially self-insert Dante’s Inferno fan fiction. Nauseatingly slow, full of droning self-important musings that would certainly get a ton of upvotes on r/incel, and the absolute saturation of violence against women is the only thing moving the so-called story forward. Convinced anyone who claims this is good is a walking red flag. Another pretentious shit stain on von Trier’s cringe-worthy career.
