  Just Alien or The Thing if they took place underwater, and it’s a blast. Bless the ‘80s for making a thousand of this type of movie 🙏🏻

  I’m a big enough to admit that this movie made me cry like 3 times. Unique animation, found family storyline, magical scenery and imagery. It’s exactly my brand and I’m here for it.

  The script itself would make more sense as a short film, but as a short, we wouldn’t have gotten to witness the amazing filmmaking and performances.

  Initially I thought there were a few stealthy scene cuts when a character would pass through a dark hallway, which still would’ve been impressive, but later found out that the whole movie was actually one take!

  Robert Eggers simply does not miss. It’s hard to rank his works, but I feel like this is his best work since The Witch. 

  The tone, the cinematography, the acting, the sound design. All of it is a chef’s kiss.

Following
