"The one and only thing not to forget. You are one. You can’t escape from yourself."

    "bat·shit" (băt shĭt′)
    adj.
    Vulgar Slang
    1. Mentally deranged; crazy.
    2. Extremely angry; furious.
    3. Wildly excited or enthusiastic.

    💉💉💉

Somehow Coralie Fargeat has managed to make a film that is unabashedly the fourth definition of this biting vulgar slang, but also simultaneously represents all three definitions that come before it.

Had to take another long, doozying hit of the best Bong (and the best film of this century so far).... It had been far too long and I needed a little "Mickey 7"prep.

That fact that it not only hits harder six years later, inside a world even more class divided than it was in 2019, but will always harmonize its aria of satire and genre piece to such thunderous and bloody sublimity. We're unlikely to get anything close to this kind of greatness to win Best Picture for quite some time 🍑

    Maria Schneider:

"I should have called my agent or had my lawyer come to the set because you can't force someone to do something that isn't in the script, but at the time, I didn't know that. Marlon said to me: 'Maria, don't worry, it's just a movie,' but during the scene, even though what Marlon was doing wasn't real, I was crying real tears. I felt humiliated and to be honest, I felt a little raped, both by Marlon…
