Just a terrible movie. The woman hating really jumps out through the whole thing, and while that one scene of the naked, dead bodies on the bright red couch was both beautiful and haunting, nothing in the rest of the movie was even close to being as impactful as that was, and that was like 30 minutes in. I love when a movie surprises you, and this one sure surprised me! what I thought was just going to be an average coming-of-age romance that I watched solely for Kat Dennings, was actually much more of a thriller/drama, and told the complex story of small town plagued by murder and drugs amongst general teen angst. The movie kept me on my toes the whole time, trying to weave together the different fragments given to me, and was also aesthetically and musically beautiful.
