contrary to popular opinion, i think dakota actually excels at playing characters with quiet strength and long-suppressed internal struggles. lucy’s journey of self discovery is filled with hesitation and confusion and small epiphanies, and it makes her all the more relatable and endearing.
as someone whose 30s are fast approaching and is consistently afraid of most things like lucy, this was a gentle and reassuring reminder that you might find yourself feeling lost even after you think you’ve found yourself and that’s okay!
