The Northman 2022
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Since this movie came out in 2022, I’ve seen a lot of criticism of it lacking that Robert Eggers charm, which is totally valid - it works on a much larger scale (and budget!) than Eggers’ previous movies, opting to tell the tale of a Viking epic, rather than something more minimal and claustrophobic akin to The Lighthouse.
However, looking beyond that, I think the spirit of Robert Eggers is alive and well in this movie. The movie takes place…Translated from by
