  The use of voice-over, contrasted with the visuals was really strong in this film. The narrative was engaging and powerful - I found the contrast between the historical period of the story and the modern day visuals to be super interesting. It was unique to see a story led by voice and backed by the visuals, with faces, but that never directly address the audience. Makes me wonder what the process was in terms of choosing and shooting the visuals - especially the statues and paintings in the film.
