it rly could have been a good bad movie! unfortunately it was bad at being good, and it didn’t really capitalize on the times that it was good at being bad. I was buying in til the final third hoping it could turn things around and deliver on what it had promised but nope! it retroactively made the rest of the movie worse. rly frustrating all round. rip Ricardo Montalbán & hervé villechaize, they deserved better

supremely discomforting. incredible movie. wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. totally soul draining
the whole thing is totally flat affect for the first hour or so and then after the twist happens (totally flatly and understatedly) there are a few isolated moments of heightened emotion from the actors but is still mostly flat. no jumps or anything just character play but with characters done artificially flat and still utterly upsetting. barry keoghan is especially terrifying by not being so. it’s like…
