  Had this DVD on my shelf for 10 years and decided to pop it in last night. Morgan Freeman gives the best performance of his career - it's haunting. As for B-Movie pulp, the movie is quite good. It's not predictable, and the story keeps you really engaged.

  I see comments about the stereotypes in the film - honestly, I'm black and I love this shit. Canceling films from the 80s is revisionist, and I think there's so much depth in Morgan Freeman's character that it's hard to call him a caricature.

  Highly recommend. Very entertaining.
